Content Marketing & Business Development Executive - Health, Fitness & Wellness Industry

As a child growing up in foster homes, David was emancipated around 16 years old. A couple years after high school, he started his first company. David has been involved in the health and fitness industry since 1990, starting his first business in 1994. In 2000, relocating to Los Angeles CA., from Boise, ID., David pursued his goals developing relationships with industry-leading fitness brands by starting a boutique consulting service, focusing on strategic product placement for companies seeking high profile visibility. The venture began by attending key trade shows and landing clients such as, IVANKO, Nautilus and Bowflex.

David then began work with production companies, publications, photographers, set designers and ad agencies. He established his reputation by providing active lifestyle products, fitness equipment and professional services! As David's fitness equipment surplus and notoriety behind the scenes grew, he opened fitness studio locations in Studio City and Universal City.

The studios hosted private training services for high profile and notable celebrity clientele. The studios also provided an organic testing ground for new and innovative fitness products to be experienced by its clientele. This led to both the design and set up of professional travel products and in-home gyms, as well as even more strategic placements of a broad range of fitness products in television, feature film and publishing projects abroad, thus created dynamic relationships in the entertainment and promotion industries.

David furthered this direction by creating unique fitness marketing concepts which parlayed into directing content, production of video material and the positioning of marketing materials in well known fitness, health and active lifestyle ad-editorial spreads. In 2006 partnered with a notable photographer from Weider Publications, David then started Fitness Industry Trends, Inc., a product development and production company. Partnering with women's fitness publication Oxygen Magazine, David then assembled a team to develop a line of women's lifestyle fitness products called Oxygenfit and Oxygenpilates.

Oxygenfit products were marketed and sold through the direct response web channel and its e-commerce driven by print advertising, PR, and production of new media content. Street smart, entrepreneurial-minded sales and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience crafting and building brands, developing business, blueprinting sales and marketing programs and product strategies that have driven demand, delivered measurable growth and overall business profitability. A natural manager with a reputation of achievements within top tier consumer products companies, direct response campaigns, direct selling companies and product manufacturing companies.

David has an unconventional approach to creating forward positioned marketing strategies and branding materials in: fitness, health, wellness, weight loss, nutraceutical products, web dev and behavioral science driven software as a service companies. Providing uniquely focused services that both elevate existing product lines within their current markets as well as assisting clients in crossing barriers of entry into targeted new markets is David's passion.
